The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of the Kogi State governorship primary, earlier scheduled for today.
In a statement on Wednesday by its national publicity secretary Olisa Metuh, PDP said that the postponement was due to some logistical issues pertaining to the exercise.
The PDP, however, reassured members of the party and other stakeholders, particularly the governorship aspirants of a transparent, credible, free and fair primary election.
The party also said it approved a new date of Monday, September 14, 2015, for the primary election.
The Kogi governorship election is scheduled to hold on November 21 with Gov. Idris Wada looking to win re-election for a second term if he clinches the PDP ticket next Monday.
