President Muhammadu Buhari has announced his first set of appointments 48 hours after he was sworn-in.
The President on Sunday evening, May 31, 2015 appointed Mr. Femi Adesina as his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) while Malam Garba Shehu was appointed the new Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity).
Mr. Buhari also approved the appointment of Mal. Lawal Abdullahi Kazaure as the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP).
Adesina doubles as the current President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) and Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun newspapers.
Shehu, who until his appointment as the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, was Head of the Atiku Media Office. He was also the President of the NGE sixteen years ago.
Kazaure is a career Foreign Service official and is presently the Special Assistant (Presidential Matters).
